Each year more than 2.5 million Americans sustain a significant burn injury, 100,000 are hospitalized and over 10,000 die. Only motor vehicle accidents cause more accidental deaths than burns.

The Blodgett Regional Burn Center is one of the few burn care facilities in Michigan dedicated solely to comprehensive inpatient and outpatient treatment of burns. Rehabilitation and support for burn patients and their families, as well as community outreach and academic education for burn care and prevention are also important services provided.
