Copy Excerpts:

Managing Stress
"Juggling home and work is just too much."
"I'm under so much pressure, it's making me sick."
"I can't get my mind to turn off at night."
"I'm always so busy, I can't find time for myself."

"Doctor, is there anything else we can do?"

Yes, there is.

Stress. Pressure. Anxiety. The demands of home and work, family and friends, can manifest itself into physical illness.

The Wege Institute for Mind, Body & Spirit blends traditional healing methods with innovative therapies to create an effective balanced approach to wellness. Working with the client's primary care physician, the Wege Institute offers interdisciplinary approaches to health care, disease prevention and the treatment of both acute and chronic health care challenges.

Massage Therapy provides an opportunity to relax and disassociate from harmful stimulus. Breathing deepens, blood pressure decreases, heart rate slows, and muscle tension dissipates.

Acupuncture. When an Acupunture needle is inserted into the skin and muscle tissue, the nervous system sends a signal to the brain to release endorphins into the nervous system, creating a natural high and a feeling of relaxation and well-being.

Neurofeedback helps stabilize EEG patterns and rhythms to decrease the body's physical and emotional response to stress. By directly training the central nervous system to regulate mood and sleep, disturbances that accompany stress disorders subside.

Guided Imagery allows clients to use the power of mind and spirit to help lower blood pressure, decrease anxiety, and reduce tension. Imagery enhances the body's self-healing mechanism, increases self-confidence, and assists in dealing with stressful situations.

Art Therapy for deeper understanding, and Health Coaching for support are also excellent tools for understanding and managing stress.

While most services offered at the Wege Insitute for Mind, Body & Spirit are self-pay, there are a number of insurance companies open to inclusion.
